Set at Palmaïa, The House of AïA, on the shores of Playa Del Carmen, it's part movement practice, part reset, part the kind of trip you'll still be thinking about months later.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Friends and family are welcome to join you at the resort, even if they are not participating in the retreat. Non-retreat guests may stay at the discounted group rate and are welcome to attend communal happy hours, social events, and group dinners.

    Children ages 10+ are welcome at the resort, and guests ages 15+ may participate in retreat classes.

  • Guests are welcome to participate in as many classes as they’d like throughout the retreat. We encourage everyone to listen to their body, move at their own pace, and choose the experiences that feel best for them.

  • Each Pilates class will be mat based. Most classes will be Classical Pilates. Options and modifications will be given for all levels. OUr registration form will address your fitness level including limitations or injuries. We will provide props and mats.

  • Guests may extend their stay up to 3 days before or after the retreat using the discounted retreat room rate, based on hotel availability. If interested, please make note in the submission form.

  • No experience is necessary. Classes are designed for a variety of experience and fitness levels, and modifications will be offered when possible. Whether you are brand new or more experienced, the retreat is intended to be welcoming, supportive, and enjoyable for everyone.

  • A $750 DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED to hold your space for Within:  A Centering Experience at Palmaia. For this retreat this is non-negotiable.

    Final payment is due on November 30th, 2026. An invoice will be sent to collect final payment if you did not pay in full. At this point the deposit is non-refundable but the remaining balance can be transferred if you have a person to take your place or if there is a waitlist.

    On or after January 10th, 2027 there will be zero refunds regardless of if your spot is filled or not.

  • Guests should book flights into Cancun International Airport (CUN), which is the closest major airport to the Riviera Maya resort area and is located approximately 45 minutes north of the resort.

  • Yes. You must have a valid U.S. passport book to fly to Mexico and return to the United States. Driver’s licenses and REAL IDs are not accepted for international air travel. Your passport should be valid for the duration of your trip. Some airlines and travel experts recommend at least Your passport should be valid for the duration of your trip.   • We recommend arriving with enough time to settle in before our welcome programming begins. We’ll host a welcome meet & greet at 4:00 PM, followed by a happy hour with drinks starting at 5:30 PM, and dinner at 6:30 PM. Arriving earlier in the day is ideal so you can check in, get comfortable, and join the group relaxed and ready to connect.

  • Transportation is not included in the retreat package and should be arranged separately. You have a few convenient options for airport transfers:

  • Yes, the retreat is hosted at a well-established resort area in Mexico that is commonly used for international travel and events. Like any destination, we recommend using standard travel awareness—such as arranging transportation in advance, staying within designated areas, and following local guidance. We’ve also selected vetted partners for airport transfers and on-site support to help ensure a smooth and comfortable experience throughout your stay.

  • We strongly recommend that all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance to protect their investment in the retreat.  Coverage may include trip cancellation, trip interruption, medical expenses, emergency evacuation, baggage loss, and travel

     We encourage purchasing shortly after making the retreat deposit. Policies to check into are Squaremouth, TravelInsurance.com, Allianz Travel Insurance and Travel Guard.

  • Spa treatments can be booked directly through Atlantis at the House of at Atlantis@thehouseofaia.com. Please refer to your welcome email after signing up for your discount code, which provides 20% off treatments booked up to 24 hours prior to arrival. Treatments booked on-site will receive a 10% discount. We recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred time and service.

  • We accept payments via Zelle, credit card, or check. Zelle payments can be sent using the details provided at registration. If you prefer to pay by credit card, we can provide a secure payment link upon request. Checks can also be made payable and sent directly per the instructions shared in the welcome email.   • You are not obligated to attend any specific sessions or activities. This retreat is designed to be flexible and restorative, so you are welcome to participate as much or as little as you’d like. Whether that means joining group sessions, booking private experiences, or simply spending the day relaxing on the beach, the time is yours to use in whatever way feels best for you.

  • As a perk of joining this retreat, if you would like to extend your stay on either side, we are allotted deep discounts for up to 3 nights. Please reach out to Fran or Alex if you would like to extend your stay.
